CraftyBob.com how does it work
CraftyBob.com is an online craft marketplace where crafters can buy and sell new or second hand crafting products. Buying and Selling on CraftyBob.com is simple, first thing you need to do is register with us. After registration you will be able to add products to your basket, then when you are ready simply checkout and pay. You can check the contents of your shopping basket at any time by clicking on the shopping cart in the top right corner of your screen. Items will stay in your basket until you either checkout or end your craftybob.com session by logging off. Please note that adding an item to your basket does not remove it from sale, so if you leave it in your basket for too long without checking out, there’s a chance that someone else could buy it before you. If you are after a specific item you can use the search facility to help you, or view one of the shops collections or categories.
Getting Started On CraftyBob.com
Where should I start on CraftyBob.com?
Firstly, welcome to CraftyBob.com! To get started, the first thing you need to do is register. You will need a valid email address, a username and a password that is unique to you. Usernames can consist of numbers and letters only; no symbols or spaces are allowed. You may use both upper and lowercase letters. Please note that usernames are unable to be changed, so please make sure you choose yours wisely. Passwords are case-sensitive, so take care when typing your new password.
How do I register on CraftyBob.com?
It is very easy to register on CraftyBob.com and best of all it's free! Simply click on the purple 'register' tab, on the upper left of the home page underneath the CraftyBob.com logo. Fill in the form with your choice of username and password, your full name and email address, (If you wish to sell items on Craftybob.com and would like to qualify for free listings and free commission of Craftsuprint items, please ensure that your registered email address matches the one on your craftsuprint account). Wait for your confirmation email, and then click on the link to confirm your account. Once you have registered, you will be able to add items to your favourites, send messages to other members, participate in our CraftyBob.com community features and of course, make purchases!
Please note your username will not be your shop name, it will be the name that is shown underneath your avatar on the website. If you choose to open a shop, you will be asked to choose a name for it then : )
How long should my username be?
Your username can be anything between 6 and 20 characters.
How do I sign into my CraftyBob.com account?
To sign into your account, simply enter your username and password.

What is an avatar?
An avatar is your profile picture. It is an image that represents you and your shop. This image appears along with your name or shop name, in your listings, in your profile and various other places throughout the site. It adds a more personal element to your identity on CraftyBob.com.
How do I upload my avatar?
Firstly, sign into your account. You will see on the left hand side of your profile page, a grey box with a picture in it. Next to that it says 'Profile image', and underneath it there is a box with a 'browse' button next to it. Click on 'browse' and your can choose a file from your computer. When you have chosen your picture, click on the file name. Then click 'upload'. Your chosen avatar will appear in the grey box, and it will state 'profile avatar updated successfully'. Your avatar needs to be either jpg/jpeg or png format, and no larger than 500kb. Ideally your picture should be square to avoid distortion.
How do I add an 'About Me' to my Profile?
To add an 'About Me' to your profile, firstly sign in to your account. Here you will see a section called 'About Me' on the right hand side of the page. Write what you would like people to know about you here. Remember to click 'Update' when you have finished.
Here are a few ideas to think about including:
• Introduce yourself, who are you? Where are your from?
• List your hobbies, interests, etc
• Let people know about your craft and what you enjoy making, do you specialise in anything particular? Let potential customers know about you and your items
How do I change my email address on CraftyBob.com?
Sign in to your account. On The right hand side you will see 'Profile Details'. Your current email will show here underneath your name. Simply edit it and then click 'Update'.
Please ensure that you keep your email address up-to-date. This is how CraftyBob.com will contact you with important account information. You cannot use an email address that has already been registered on a different account on CraftyBob.com
How do I change my password?
Sign into your account and you will see the option to change your password underneath your avatar. Firstly, enter your current password. Underneath that, enter your new password, and then again to confirm it. When you are happy with it, click 'change'.
What should I do if I have forgotten my password?
If you have forgotten your password, click on the purple 'signin' tab at the top left of the page, underneath the CraftyBob.com logo. Instead of entering your username and password, click on 'forgot your password' situated to the right of the grey 'Login' tab. Then enter your account email address and we'll send you an email with a link that will allow you to set yourself a new password!
Where is my confirmation email?
If you haven't received your confirmation email check your junk mail or spam folder, as it may have ended up in there. To prevent this from happening in the future add noreply@CraftyBob.com to your address book or safe list. If it continues to be a problem you may need to turn your spam filters off or contact your email provider.
The link in my confirmation email isn't working. What should I do?
If the link in your confirmation email doesn't work, please contact us by clicking on the link at the bottom of the page on the right hand side. We will be happy to assist you!
Making a Purchase
How do I buy an item on CraftyBob.com?
With a large variety of wonderful handmade items and craft supplies available on CraftyBob.com, we're sure you'll find something that will catch your eye. This guide will walk you through the simple steps so you can buy that special item. If you are a new CraftyBob.com user, please take a moment to create an account. It' is very easy to register and completely free! Once you have an CraftyBob.com account, you will be able to add items to your favourites, send messages to other members, participate in our CraftyBob.com community features and of course, make purchases!
Adding items to your shopping basket
When you have found something that you like on CraftyBob.com, you have the option to add the item to your cart, or 'favourite this'. If you add it to your favourites, it is saved so that you can find it easily later. If you add it to your cart it is ready for you to purchase. You can add items from multiple sellers to your cart, but you will have to complete checkout for each seller separately. Items will stay in your basket until you either checkout, or end your CraftyBob.com session by logging off. Please note that adding an item to your basket does not remove it from sale, so if you leave it in your basket for too long without checking out there’s a chance that someone else could buy it before you.
Why do I need to register before I can make a purchase?
When making a purchase on CraftyBob.com, you're given the option to leave feedback for that seller. Our feedback system is an important part of the CraftyBob.com experience and it is dependant on being able to identify both parties involved in each and every transaction. Your username is the unique to you and is what makes this system possible.
How do I make a payment?
All payments on CraftyBob.com are made using PayPal.
Buying items from different sellers
You can add items to your basket from numerous sellers, when you get to checkout you will be asked to confirm your total order and then to pay each designer individually using Paypal.
What is PayPal and how do I use it when purchasing items on CraftyBob.com?
PayPal™ is an online payment processing company that is widely used on the internet to make payments, including credit card payments. You can pay using your bank account, your PayPal balance or credit card. PayPal will securely process your payment, so none of your financial information will be seen by the seller. Your information is securely protected by data encryption technology, reducing the risk of online fraud and identity theft.
How to pay using paypal
• Order your items and click on the ‘Proceed to checkout’ button when you are ready to pay
• Select your shipping address and click ‘Continue’
• Review your order and then click ‘Confirm Order’
• At the Paypal page enter your PayPal log in details
• Review your information and select 'Pay’
• Remember you may have to checkout a number of times if you have made multiple purchases from multiple shops
How to pay using credit/debit cards:
• Order your items and click on the ‘Proceed to checkout’ button when you are ready to pay
• Select your shipping address and click ‘Continue’
• Review your order and then click ‘Confirm Order’
• At the PayPal log in screen click on the link on the right that says ‘Pay with a Credit or Debit Card
• Fill in your credit/debit card and address details
• Uncheck the Save this information with a PayPal account
• Click ‘Review and continue'
• Review your Information and select 'Pay’
• Remember you may have to checkout a number of times if you have made multiple purchases from multiple shops
• We accept all major Credit and Debit cards paid through the PayPal website.
Do I have to have a PayPal account before I can check out?
If you don't have one, you can create a new PayPal account and pay using your new account; click Continue and follow the instructions. If you wish to pay without creating a PayPal account, click debit or credit card.
What if PayPal won't allow me to complete payment?
PayPal uses various measures to protect it's users. Unfortunately, we don't know exactly what factors trigger PayPal's security measures, but on rare occasions, PayPal may prohibit a buyer from making a payment to a seller using PayPal.
If this does this occur, the buyer and seller should work together to decide on an alternative method of payment for that particular transaction.
Can I have my item shipped to an alternative address?
When you click 'checkout' you will be given the opportunity to enter your shipping address there. This can be an alternative delivery address.
What currency is used on CraftyBob.com?
CraftyBob.com items are listed in GBP, however, you have the option to change this to USD, EUR or AUD. At the very bottom of the page on the left hand side you will see 'Currency £ GBP'. If you hover your mouse pointer over GBP you will see the option for '$ Dollar', '€ Euro' & '$ AUD'. If you wish to change this, simply click on the currency you wish to view the site in. Paypal is able to make payments to people all over the world and will convert your payment into the required currency for you.
Communication
Can I contact the seller about an item?
CraftyBob.com is a marketplace for craft goods, and supplies. As a marketplace, we provide sellers with a platform to sell their craft items and manage their own small businesses. If you ever have a question about an item, whether it be to ask if the item comes in any other varieties, or to ask if your order has been shipped yet, you can contact the seller directly using our onsite messaging system.
I haven't been receiving any emails from you - What should I do?
There are a few things you can do to help ensure our emails get through to your inbox:
• Make sure you type your email address carefully when you register. If this address isn't correct, we can't contact you and neither can buyers/sellers. To check this, go to 'Your Account'
• Check your email spam/junk folder to see if they have been diverted there by your email client.
• Add Craftbob.com's email addresses to your address book. This will make sure that our emails don't end up in your spam/junk folder. We recommend adding the following address to your contacts list: noreply@CraftyBob.com
• If you still think you are missing emails from us please contact us.
Will you email me Notifications?
Only if you want us to! We will not bury you with unwanted notifications. If you go to 'Your account', underneath you 'Profile details' you will see 'Notification settings'. Simply check 'Yes' or 'No' next to each option to select which notifications you would like to receive from us. Then click 'Update' and your choices will be saved in your account.
How Do I Contact Support at CraftyBob.com?
If you need to contact support for any reason, simply scroll down to the bottom of any page, and on the right hand side you will see 'Contact Us'. Here you can raise a support ticket. In order to streamline support requests and better serve you, we utilize a support ticket system. Every support request is assigned a unique ticket number which you can use to track the progress and responses online.
Shopping Features
What are my favourites and admirers?
When you come across an item or shop on Craftybob.com that you love, you can add it to your favourites. This bookmarks them in your profile, so that you can easily find them again.
To add an item to your favourites, firstly sign into your account. Go to an item and click the grey button that says 'favourite this' (it is to the right of the photo directly underneath the purple 'add to cart' button). You can add a shop to your favourites by clicking the link on the shop's main page, on the left hand side under 'Actions'. If you are on a listing page, you will have the option to add a shop to your favourites by clicking the link 'add this shop to favourites', on the right hand side underneath 'More from this shop'. If you're viewing search results or a shop, you can hover your mouse over a listing's thumbnail and a small heart icon will appear in the top left corner of the image. By clicking on this heart, the item will added to your favourites list without having to view the listing page. You can add a shop to your favourites by clicking this same link on the shop's main page
Your favourites can all be viewed by clicking on the red heart icon in the purple tab at the top of the page on the left underneath the Craftybob.com logo.
What is my Circle?
Your circle is a terrific way to stay connected with fellow members of the Craftybob.com community. When you add someone to your circle, you can keep up to date with them and their current favourites. Some people you may want to add to your circle might be: friends, family, Craftybob.com shops that you like, or other Craftybob.com members whose style you admire.
How Do I View My Circle?
You can view your circle by visiting your public profile page and clicking the 'Circle' link in the sidebar, on the left underneath your profile avatar. This will display a list of everyone in your circle. To see who has added you to their circles, click the 'In # circles' tab on the same page. The number that is displayed is the number of people who have added you to their circle.
How Do I Add Someone To My Circle?
To add someone to your circle, firstly, make sure you are signed into your Craftybob.com account. You can then go to their profile page and click the 'Add to circle' button, in the sidebar on the left underneath their profile avatar. Once someone is in your circle, you can see their activity when you view your circles. They will not see your activity unless they choose to add you to their own circle.
How Do I remove Someone From My Circle? If you ever change your mind and decide to remove someone from your circle, you can. There are two ways in which you can remove someone from your circle. When viewing your circle in your profile, simply click on 'Remove from circle', underneath the person you wish to remove. Alternatively, go to the person's profile and on the left hand side underneath their profile avatar, you will see 'In your circle', with a red circle next to it featuring a cross. Click on the cross and that person will be removed.
What is Collection?
Collections are a bunch of items put together by different users based on a specific idea. They are freely accessible and users can create similar set of collections. If you'd like to publish your collection on Craftybob.com's home page, here are a few tips:
•Seek variety. Choose no more than one item per shop.
•Keep away from your own items.
•An attractive collection is beautiful.
How do I search for something on Craftybob.com?
Searching on craftybob.com is very simple. You can type in what you are looking for into the search bar, or you can browse by Collections, Categories, Shops, or items just listed.
Can I get a custom item made for me?
As well as many ready to post items, Some Craftybob.com sellers are also able to offer custom, made-to-order items as well. Whether you need an item personalised with a name, or something special for a unique occasion. Go to the Shop's homepage and in the 'Shop Info' category on the left hand side, click on 'Request custom item' to discuss any requests you might have.
Reporting a Problem
How do I report a problem with an item I received?
If you have a problem with an item that you have purchased, please contact the seller directly via CraftyBob.com's message system, to work toward a solution. You can also use our Feedback system to review the seller's product and service and let others know if you would recommend them or not.
I bought something and never received it. What should I do?
CraftyBob.com is a marketplace of many individual sellers. Each are solely responsible for processing and shipping the orders placed in their shop. If you bought something on CraftyBob.com, and have not received it, there are a few actions you can take.
•First and foremost, try to contact the seller directly using Craftybob's message system.
•If the seller does not respond, you may want to contact support at CraftyBob.com and we will contact the seller on your behalf.
•If the situation remains unresolved, you may want to open up a PayPal dispute. You will need to contact PayPal support for information on how to file a claim for a refund.
How do I cancel a void or incomplete transaction or order?
If a transaction or order is void or incomplete, the shop owner may cancel the transaction(s) and receive a credit for the associated fees. Only a shop owner is able to cancel a transaction. If you are a buyer and would like to cancel an order, please contact the shop owner directly.
How do I report a violation of CraftyBob.com's policies?
If you see something on CraftyBob.com that violates our policies, please let us know - We take these matters very seriously!
For item listings or shops that you believe to be breaking policies, please use the link on the listing or shop page to report it to us. At the bottom of a listing page, on the right hand side you can click 'Report this item to CraftyBob.com'.
